This #GivingTuesday, Lucky & Cynthia Say Thank You

Lucky is a young tuxedo-wearing kitty who was found and taken in by her owner, Cynthia, at just a few months of age. The two of them are inseparable. When Lucky started having trouble urinating and refusing to eat, her owner was terrified that the kidney stones Lucky had survived before had come back. That prior incident had led to a $3,000 bill for Cynthia who is a senior living on a fixed income due to disability. After taking out the first loan of her life, Cynthia got Lucky the treatment she needed.

The thought of facing a second enormous bill felt insurmountable and after trying to work with vets she could find no one that would take payments to get Lucky the check up she needed. As a devastating last resort she called the Pet Support Hotline at Pima Animal Care Center, prepared to surrender her beloved cat.

"I had almost given up hope. Lucky is everything to me and although I didn't want to lose her, I knew that surrendering her to PACC would get her the care she needed." Lucky's owner, Cynthia, held back tears as she told us her story.

Lucky was suffering from kidney troubles and thanks to donors like you who support the Friends of PACC, Cynthia and Lucky were able to stay together with the help of our Keeping Families Together fund.

When asked what Cynthia would like to share with Friends of PACC donors she said, "Thank you all so much. I've never been closer to a pet than I am to Lucky. You saved my cat!"

This #GivingTuesday it's all about family and keeping pets in homes where they belong. Please make a gift today to support Friends of PACC programming like the Pet Support Hotline and the Keeping Families Together fund.
