Ride with the PACC Team Raises Record Donations
The number of riders in our Ride with the PACC team more than doubled in our second year of participating in El Tour de Tucson! 75 riders of all ages and abilities helped raise more than $26,000 for homeless pets by creating individual fundraising pages and sharing their own stories about why they chose to support PACC during their ride.
PACC volunteers Jim and Lisa Dobbin shared, “Riding on the Friends of PACC cycling team allows us to combine our love of cycling with the opportunity to raise much needed funds for pets in need. Being able to ride and support a worthy cause like Friends of PACC is a win-win! We volunteer at Pima Animal Care Center to make a difference in the lives of homeless pets in our community. We wanted to do more and so we joined the Ride with the PACC team for this year’s El Tour de Tucson. Cycling provides an incredible sense of freedom for us and we’re happy it can help pets, too.”
Members of the Ride with PACC team said, “I can’t think of a more deserving entity to raise money for.” Riders raised critical funding for the hundreds of pets in need that call Pima Animal Care Center their temporary home. The team ended up raising more than double the funds raised in the first year! All of these gifts will go to the pets at Pima Animal Care Center for lifesaving care such as specialty medical treatments, training, and foster and adoption programs.
