Miss Khloe's Christmas in July Bonanza!

Our friend Miss Khloe says it feels just like Christmas to have reached over 4,000 followers on her Facebook page! To celebrate, she's asking every person who follows her to donate at least one dollar to the Friends of Pima Animal Care Center. Miss Khloe has always enjoyed making people smile—from dressing in pretty ensembles, to volunteering at nursing homes, to helping other animals in need.

“Christmas is our favorite holiday! That time of year is usually very busy so we thought a Christmas in July would be a fun way to ask our friends and followers to give back to homeless pets in honor of Miss Khloe,” says Khloe’s daddy.

Miss Khloe, an adorable long-haired chihuahua, delights her followers by wearing wigs, costumes, and accessories. We could all use some sunshine and Miss Khloe’s posts never fail to make us smile. When we asked Miss Khloe’s dad how her page got started he said that he never originally planned to have one.

“It all started when I entered a pet photo contest. A very nice lady messaged me offering support and suggested that I start a page all about Miss Khloe. So we started sharing our photos and shenanigans with the world in April of 2017 and the rest is history,” says Khloe’s daddy.

Miss Khloe is an inspiration to her followers and to her dad who saw the positive impact she was having on people. “As the page grew so did our motivation to do more to help less fortunate animals in need.  We wanted to help a local organization get additional resources to help animals in need. In Christmas 2018 we did a card mailing campaign and donations from cards went to Pima Animal Care Center.”

Over 17,000 pets receive shelter at Pima Animal Care Center every year. While we hope that all of them find loving homes like Miss Khloe, sometimes they need extra care to get there. Extra care like emergency or specialty medical treatment, training, and lifesaving supplies are only made possible through donations made to the Friends of Pima Animal Care Center. As the official nonprofit partner to the shelter, Friends of PACC can meet immediate shelter needs.

“We decided we wanted to do even more so we’ve teamed up with the Friends of PACC to raise awareness and funds for shelter pets. We believe all animals matter and deserve a loving forever home and care. We believe that everyone can do something to help others regardless of how they do it.  People can adopt (don’t shop!), volunteer, foster, or donate (any amount helps!). Thanks to everyone who joins Miss Khloe this month in supporting Friends of PACC.”

Thank you for supporting pets in honor of Miss Khloe!
