Purple Paw Project Helps Victims of Domestic Violence

The Purple Paw Project is a Prototypes awareness campaign and fundraiser for Domestic Violence Awareness Month and beyond. People in crisis often don’t have the resources they need to secure temporary foster or boarding for their pets. Pets are family members and helping people take care of them can help ease some of the stress in dire situations. Our Pet Support Hotline connects people to the resources they need and can even provide assistance for affordable boarding. They can be reached at 520-724-7222.

Purple Paw Project t-shirts and pet bandannas can be purchased at www.PurplePawProject.com. Sales benefit four local nonprofits: Friends of Pima Animal Care Center, The Humane Society of Southern Arizona, Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse, and Gabriel's Angels.  Net proceeds will be distributed equally among the four not-for-profit agencies and be used to recruit more fosters, secure relief shelter space, education, and therapy for children escaping abuse.
