Dr. Wilcox - Investing in staff professional development has profound impacts for the pets of Pima County. PACC has a dedicated staff who really benefit from learning new practices and knowledge in animal welfare. Friends of PACC recently helped Dr. Wilcox, PACC’s amazing shelter veterinarian who saves the lives of our community’s most neglected pets, receive training in forensic veterinary medicine.

By attending this conference, Dr. Wilcox became much more equipped to not only treat victims of animal cruelty, but to document their conditions and progress in a way that will allow us to hold abusers accountable in court. Armed with this information and data from PACC’s Medical Team, Animal Protection Services Investigators will finally be able to hold more people accountable for their crimes against pets.
