Got an IRA RMD?
Tax season is fast approaching and there are many ways to make a charitable contribution to Friends of Pima Animal Care Center before the end of the year. All gifts up to $10,000 dollars are currently being matched by a generous local couple meaning your gift will go twice the distance for pets in need.
One way to give is by designating your IRA’s Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) as an investment in the lives of homeless pets. If you are over 70 years of age and required to make a minimum distribution from your IRA, you can save money on your taxes by using your IRA funds as a charitable contribution.
Instead of paying taxes on your IRA withdrawal, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly to your favorite non-profit and not have to pay them! Your IRA RMD charitable gift can be up to $100,000. Of course, it’s important to always contact your professional tax advisor to take full advantage.
When you give to Friends of PACC your dollars are making a direct impact on the lives of thousands of pets that arrive at PACC every year, some sick and injured, some neglected, and all of them orphaned. We’re happy to discuss an IRA RMD gift and other giving options. Please call our Executive Director, Jennifer Camano, at 520-724-5947 to learn more about this great opportunity.
