The 3rd Annual Tucson Subaru Pets of Pima Parade & Friends of PACC Festival strutted its furry (and feathery!) stuff down 1st St & 6th Ave in the Historic Fourth Avenue district, celebrating the special bond between pets and their humans. It was a paw-sitively huge event, drawing in:

  • Over 1,000 spectators: From proud pet parents to animal enthusiasts, the streets were lined with cheering crowds.

  • Many dedicated volunteers: These incredible individuals ensured the event ran smoothly, from Parade logistics to vendor support.

  • Hundreds of pets: Dogs, cats, birds, and even a python (don't worry, it was safely handled!) joined the festivities, showcasing the amazing diversity of our animal companions.

This year's Parade was bigger and better than ever, with the post-parade Friends of PACC Festival encompassing four city blocks of fun. Attendees enjoyed:

  • A VIP Deck at CORBETT’s: Paid seating ensured ticket holders that they would get a comfortable seat as they watched the Parade march by.

  • Live entertainment: Music, performances, and activities kept the energy high throughout the day.

  • 60 vendors: From pet-related products to delicious food, there was something for everyone.

  • 6 rescue organizations: These groups showcased adoptable dogs and shared their missions with the community.

  • A major adoption event resulting in 8 adoptions!: Many deserving dogs found their forever homes thanks to this heartwarming event.

The Parade itself was a spectacle of creativity and love. Over 1,200 participants marched along the route, including:

  • Two marching bands: Setting the festive mood with their lively tunes.

  • Businesses and dog groups: Proudly representing themselves and the important roles they play in our community.

  • Costumed pets: From veggie-dyed poodles to tiny princesses, these furry friends stole the show with their adorable outfits.

  • And of course, countless happy dogs: Whether sporting custom bandanas or simply enjoying the walk, their enthusiasm was contagious.

The impact of the event goes far beyond the fun and festivities. Friends of PACC is dedicated to supporting Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) and its mission to rescue, care for, and rehome animals in need. Every year, PACC helps approximately 18,000 animals, and Friends of PACC plays a crucial role in providing them with the resources they need.

Thanks to the incredible support of sponsors like Tucson Subaru, the dedicated efforts of the Friends of PACC team and volunteers, and the generosity of the community.
